CAMPAIGNERS are drawing up the battle lines against an incinerator planned for Micheldever Station.
Micheldever Action Group wants to highlight the impact of a proposed waste incinerator at Micheldever Station, when a city council planning committee considers the proposal at Winchester Guildhall next Thursday.
In a statement it said today: “We wish to emphasise to councillors the full significance of these facts before they vote at the planning meeting next week. It is important that they are not bullied into making the wrong decision.”
Clean Power Properties and Network Rail propose the construction of a new waste conversion plant on land above the oil terminal at Micheldever railway station.
Winchester City Council can express its views but the final decision will be taken by the county council.
